The Department of Chemistry is one of the founding Departments at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal since 1960 (then Maulana Azad College of Technology, MACT). The department has started with the aim to cater the need of B. Tech first year compulsory courses (Engineering Chemistry & Environmental Sciences). The department also offers, a PG program (M.Sc. Chemistry) and a doctoral program (Ph.D.) in various disciplines of chemistry and inter-disciplinary branches.
To make use of inherent personal and creative potential mingled with hard work so as to carve a niche in the field of Applied Sciences & Technology.
To advance and spread knowledge in the area of science and technology leading to creation of wealth and welfare of humanity.
