ABOUT ROBOTICS CLUB

The Robotics Club at MANIT Bhopal is a passionate student-driven community dedicated to exploring the world of robotics and automation. By bringing together skills in mechanical design, electronics systems and programming, the club creates a space for hands-on learning and innovation. Whether it’s building robots for competitions or working on real-world projects, members get to design, prototype, and bring ideas to life—developing practical solutions with creativity, teamwork, and engineering insight.

OBJECTIVE

  • Skill Development through Innovation: Students build and program robots, enhancing skills in electronics, mechanics, and coding through hands-on, creative problem-solving.
  • Project-Based Engineering Practice: Members engage in full-cycle robotics projects, gaining experience in design, teamwork, planning, and systematic engineering.
  • Workshops, Mentoring & Outreach: The club organizes workshops, competitions, and mentoring sessions to foster peer learning and promote robotics education.
  • Competitions & Industry Exposure: Students gain real-world exposure through industry interactions and national/international competitions, showcasing innovation with professionalism.

EVENTS

Make-a-Thon

Make-a-Thon A challenge to transform theoretical knowledge into practical application, students were equipped with robotics kits and were tasked with identifying a real-world problem and developing a robotic solution. This event fostered creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork as students raced against time to design, build, and program their robots.

Automax

Automax is the Robotics Club’s annual flagship event that blends hands-on workshops with robotics competitions. It brings together aspiring innovators from various institutions to explore electronics, mechanics, and automation through guided sessions and real-world problem-solving. With expert talks, team challenges, and strong participation, Automax fosters innovation, collaboration, and practical learning in robotics.

Robofiesta

Robofiesta is the Robotics Club’s annual robotics fest, organized as part of MANIT’s Techno Search. It brings together a series of competitive that celebrate creativity and innovation.

Key events in Robofiesta 2025 included:

  • Roborace: A high-speed challenge where robots raced through obstacle-filled tracks.
  • MazeRush: An autonomous maze-solving competition focused on algorithm design and intelligent navigation.
  • CADathon: A design-oriented contest testing participants' proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD tools under time constraints.

ACHIEVEMENTS

ABU Robocon

In both 2023 and 2024, our club stood out in the national ideation rounds with a high-performing ring-throwing robot. Scoring 98.5/100 in 2023, our design was praised for its innovation, functionality, and detailed CAD work—earning us a top national rank.

Flipkart GRID 4.0

We engineered an autonomous drone system with precision pick-and-drop capabilities using onboard computer vision, Pixhawk, and Raspberry Pi. Tackling real-world problems in logistics and healthcare, our design ranked among the top teams nationwide.

IRDC 2023

Competing with 800+ international teams, our modular Mars rover with terrain-adaptive suspension and autonomous features advanced to the second round—demonstrating that our innovations match global standards.

ISRO Rover Challenge

As part of ISRO URSC 2024’s challenge, we designed a rover built for rough terrains and space missions. Reaching round two, the project deepened our engineering skills and brought us closer to real-world space robotics.

Gujarat Robofest 2025

Finalists in both the Rover and Application-Based categories, we showcased strong teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving across domains—proving our ability to perform under high competition.
