About MANIT SAE COLLEGIATE CLUB

The SAE Collegiate Club at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) serves as a dynamic platform for aspiring engineers passionate about the automotive domain. The club empowers students to explore cutting-edge engineering concepts, develop hands-on design and fabrication skills, and implement innovative solutions that contribute to the future of mobility. Through various technical projects, competitions, and workshops, the club fosters a culture of excellence, creativity, and continuous learning.

OBJECTIVE:

• End-to-End Vehicle Development: To conceptualize, design, engineer, test, and market a fully functional, self-developed vehicle, showcasing technical proficiency and innovation. 

• Real-World Engineering Simulation: To immerse students in industry-relevant design and fabrication challenges, nurturing a spirit of teamwork, leadership, and self-motivation. 

• Industry-Academia Integration: To build robust networks and collaborative opportunities between students and industry professionals, enhancing global exposure and ensuring the relevance and quality of technical education.

BAJA – The Legacy of Motion at SAE MANIT

For over 13 incredible years, SAE MANIT has carried the torch of engineering excellence and unshakable passion through the high-octane world of BAJA SAE—be it mBAJA, eBAJA, or the emerging frontier of hBAJA.

In 2019, the journey into the electric revolution began. Team Parabellum took the lead, embracing the challenge of eBAJA with cutting-edge technology and sheer willpower. The result? A phenomenal All India Rank,  shattering expectations and electrifying the scoreboard.

Then came the silent storm — the COVID era. Teams dispersed, resources drained, and momentum shaken. Yet in the face of uncertainty, a new spirit rose. Team Equinox, driven by fresh minds and bold hearts, reignited the passion and rocked in eBAJA 2024 with great results .They didn’t just compete—they resurrected a legacy.

By 2025, the wheel of innovation turned once more. The team embraced a new frontier: hBAJA, integrating the power of Hydrogen and CNG. A challenging transition, yet once again, SAE MANIT made its mark with an All India Rank of 6, proving that evolution is in our DNA.

Our Past

SUPRA Journey at MANIT

MANIT has maintained a strong and consistent presence in the prestigious SUPRA SAE competition, earning recognition for its innovation, technical excellence, and team spirit.

The journey began in 2011 with Team Invictus, which proudly represented MANIT in the inaugural edition of SUPRA, held at MMIT Chennai. Making a powerful debut, the team secured an impressive 22nd position among nearly 45 participating teams, laying the foundation for future successes and establishing MANIT's place in the Formula Student community.

Time may change. Faces may fade. Challenges may rise. 

But the passion for motorsport at SAE MANIT is eternal. 

It doesn’t just live—it races, it roars, and it rises again.

As long as SAE MANIT breathes, the engines of innovation will never fall silent.

1. AUTO EXPO

SAE MANIT, in collaboration with Bhopal Supercars Club, successfully organized AutoExpo 2025 during Technosearch 2025. The event showcased cutting-edge automotive innovations, exotic supercars, and fostered a spirit of enthusiasm among automobile enthusiasts and students alike.

2. NITRO RACING

In previous years, SAE MANIT has successfully organized events like Nitro Racing and various technical workshops, providing students with hands-on learning experiences and nurturing a strong automotive culture on campus.
